Navigating the Challenges of Renovation

As with any major home project, we encountered a few unexpected hurdles along the way. The first challenge arose when our tiler, Erick, discovered that the ceiling had a slight curve due to previous water damage. This meant we had to pause the tiling process and have the entire ceiling sanded down and skim-coated to ensure a flawless, level surface.

Bringing It All Together

As the renovation neared its completion, the excitement and anticipation were palpable. I couldn’t wait to see the final product and start enjoying my very own urban zen sanctuary. And when the day finally arrived, I was blown away by the transformation.

The large-format cement tiles on the floor, complemented by the sleek, coordinating tiles in the shower, created a seamless, minimalist look that radiated calmness. The Schluter trim added a touch of sophisticated polish, while the quartz threshold in the shower ensured a smooth, water-tight transition.

But the real showstopper, in my opinion, was the towering peace lily, Paloma, nestled in the corner. That lush, green foliage and those elegant, ribbed leaves instantly transported me to a serene, natural oasis. I knew the moment I laid eyes on it that it was the perfect addition to my urban zen haven.

Indulging in Everyday Luxury

Now, as I step into my new bathroom, I feel a sense of rejuvenation wash over me. The soothing tones, the clean lines, and the tranquil ambiance instantly melt away the stresses of the day.
